Siberian Ginseng (Root)

There is evidence that Siberian Ginseng (root) can boost immune functions in humans. It has a beneficial effect on the adrenals, raises energy levels and enhances immunity.  Studies show that it is effective in protecting against all kinds of physical stresses: heat, cold even radiation. It heightens mental alertness and allows the mind to focus in adverse situations. It may also be of value in decreasing the risk of many chronic illnesses.

Major benefits include revitalization for those fatigued (work, illness, chronic fatigue syndrome, or fibromyalgia), increased ability to concentrate under adverse conditions, increase performance in physical labor, adaptation to any environment, withstanding motion sickness, and benefits in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease by increasing mental alertness.

Additional benefits of Siberian Ginseng include toning the uterus to treat menstrual irregularities, infertility and the symptoms of menopause. It is possibly effective as an adaptogen, preventing atherosclerosis, normalizing blood pressure, treating kidney problems, diabetes, neuroses, rheumatic heart disease, chronic bronchitis, pulmonary tuberculosis, reducing cholesterol, a tonic for fatigue and debility, and to reduce severity and duration of herpes simplex type II infections. Several constituents are also thought to have anti-oxidant and anti-cancer effects.
