Coenzyme Q 10

CoEnzyme Q10 ( CoQ10 ) is present in the mitochondria of all the cells in the body. It is vital because it carries into your cells the energy-laden protons and electrons that are used to produce adenosine triphosphate (ATP). ATP is the immediate source of cellular energy.

It is believed that as many as 75% of people over the age of 50 may be deficient in CoQ10. This is because the body can store only a small amount of ATP and as we age our bodies struggle to replenish. A lack of CoQ10 can lead to cardiovascular disease because without it, the heart does not have enough energy to circulate the blood effectively.

CoQ10 plays an essential role in the following:
Strengthening the heart, Enhancing the immune system, Lowering blood pressure, Protecting against periodontal disease.

Studies show that CoQ10 is very effective for fighting receding gums and recovering from illness, injury and surgery. We also know it is vital for energy and often increases energy levels. It has been proven to help people who suffer from AIDS, Diabetes, Chronic fatigue syndrome, Gastro-intestinal ulcers, and Cancer.
