Beet Powder (Root)

Red Beets are alkaline, contain high amounts of phosphorous and potassium, and stimulate digestion. Beets contain vitamin A & C, iron, potassium, niacin, copper, folic acid, zinc, calcium, manganese, magnesium and phosphorus. Beets have the highest sugar content of any vegetable, yet are low in calories (about 50 per cup).

 The nutrition in beets have been used to slow the fat deposition in the liver. Large quanities can lead to low levels of calcium in the blood and kidney damage. Beets have been used to bolster immunity and increase curative powers for headaches and other painful conditions.

 The beet greens are a rich source of potassium, calcium, iron, beta-carotene, folate and vitamin C.
